CRAFT MATERIALS:
Clear 2-liter soda bottle
Small flowerpot
Potting soil
Seeds
Saucer
Craft stick marker

Time needed: Under 1 Hour
1. Cut the top from a clear 2-liter soda bottle.

2. Find a flowerpot that fits inside the dome. Fill the pot with potting soil, then plant the seeds according to the packet directions.

Tip: Consider planting herbs, such as parsley and basil, that can be transplanted outside once the weather warms, or grass, which grows fast and is fun to trim with scissors.

3. Place the pot on a saucer and poke in a craft stick marker. Slip the dome over the pot. Be sure to water the soil when it looks dry.

From FamilyFun: Spring CraftsCrafts and Gift Guru Galhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00963182369587547105noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-662829547934680011.post-21620076779248281192008-03-31T12:21:00.003-04:002008-03-31T12:23:01.506-04:00Spring is Here!I hope everyone had a great Easter. After 3 Long Weeks~Hey guys, it's been hectic over here! First I was sick for about a week. There was a nasty flu going around and every other person I knew was getting it. Even my friends who claim they "never" get sick got it! It kicked our butts. But now we're all stronger than ever! I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day and is doing well. Back to crafting, since Easter is coming, I'll scour the net for some cool ideas and bring it back here to share!Crafts and Gift Guru Galhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00963182369587547105noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-662829547934680011.post-20673851741511000952008-01-31T16:00:00.000-05:002008-01-31T16:13:49.733-05:00Valentines Day Crafting
Lovely Valentines Day Card Idea

Valentines Day DIY Postings

This blog has some very nice Valentines crafting ideas!

Family Fun Valentines Crafts

Comprehensive Crafts Guide with Great Tutorial Videos

Crafts and Gift Guru Galhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00963182369587547105noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-662829547934680011.post-90781527793582752052008-01-24T13:32:00.000-05:002008-01-24T14:00:47.590-05:00Valentines Day Crafts
It's just around the corner - love day, vday, saints day, Valentines Day is the perfect occasion to craft for. Today is National Hat Day (every Jan. 15 is), well not officially "National" since it isn't a government holiday. But it is cold in most parts of the US, and hats are worn to keep in the warmth. Much of our body heat is lost through the head and hats help to protect us from the chilly weather. I was surfing around looking for some crafty projects that I can do with the kids to decorate. We have a lot of heirloom ornaments and have even hung some of the 2007 crafty ones. We reused last year's star and lighting. But what we needed to really tie everything together was a great new tree skirt. The old one just had to go. I came across this great blog post today: Monster Art! and thought they were just lovely for any kid who is not scared away by them. They are plushy and are created by talented artist Lizette Greco. Inspired by drawings, these monster plush crafts come to stunning life. If your kids are more on the wild side, tame them with a plush monster craft this holiday. You can view many of Lizette's work on her site.
Monster Art!

Crafts and Gift Guru Galhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00963182369587547105noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-662829547934680011.post-33364801158183565882007-11-28T13:14:00.001-05:002007-11-28T13:20:45.017-05:00Cute Cold Blocking Critters
I saw this post on hollywoodflake's blog and thought it was one of the cutest ever. They keep out the cold, add a nice cute touch, and are easy to make. They could be a little messy to make for children, so adults may need to supervise. I also read on her comments that some people were using beans, rice, and even kitty litter to stuff. So be careful, you may get real critters eating on these critters with some of these stuffings!

Critters that Keep Out the Cold

Crafts and Gift Guru Galhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00963182369587547105noreply@blogger.com1
